We are thrilled to announce Lucas Shelton as the new Chief Operating Officer at Drake-Scruggs Equipment where he will be overseeing our Production, Service, Sales, and Parts departments.
With 17 years of experience leading high-performing teams at industry leaders such as The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company and Southern Glazers Wine and Spirits, he brings a proven track record of driving operational excellence and cultivating strategic partnerships. His career highlights include spearheading growth initiatives with major national accounts such as Home Depot and Lowe’s, strengthening the success of local business partners across central and northern Illinois, and overseeing the sales and operations of a $100M wine and spirits division to deliver sustained profitability and market leadership.
Outside of work, he is a husband of 12 years, a proud dad to a spirited 5-year-old, and a very energetic 2-year-old Golden Retriever. Lucas and his family calls Sherman, IL, home, where he enjoys maintaining a well-kept lawn, dabbling in woodworking, and serving on the Board of Directors for his favorite local nonprofit, Refuge Ranch.
